Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the firm's financial operations. The role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on execution, ensuring robust financial systems, compliance, and long-term fiscal health. The Finance Manager will collaborate with leadership to drive financial planning, budget optimization, and profitability analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial and Accounting Oversight
- Manage day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Oversee the work of supporting staff and contractors.
- Lead annual budget planning and quarterly forecasting.
Strategic Finance & Reporting
- Develop and deliver management reports with actionable insights.
- Conduct profitability analyses across departments and service lines.
- Provide financial guidance to leadership for decision-making.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external CPAs during audits and filings.
- Establish internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
Process Improvement
- Implement best practices in expense tracking, billing workflows, and reporting.
- Evaluate and introduce financial tools that enhance efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members to build finance capability within the firm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 510 years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in management.
- Deep knowledge of QuickBooks and other finance tools.
- Prior experience with U.S. financial reporting standards and compliance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a distributed team in a fully remote environment.
Compensation Package
- Monthly Salary: USD $1,800 - $2,800 (commensurate with experience)
- Paid Time Off: U.S. federal holidays, sick leave and annual leave days
- Performance Reviews: Annual reviews tied to firm performance and individual KPIs
Working Hours
This role involves a full-time schedule of 8 hours per day, not including a 1-hour break. Finalists will have an opportunity to discuss potential schedule flexibility during the last phase of the hiring process.
